Installation

How to connect an MT4 or MT5 account

  1. Start the Telegram bot. Open @frxinf_bot and tap Start. If your Telegram account does not yet have a username, create one in Telegram settings first.
  2. Download the EA for your platform. Use the MT4 or MT5 button above and verify the corresponding SHA-256 checksum.
  3. Install the EA. In MT4 or MT5, choose File → Open Data Folder. Copy the EX4 file into MQL4/Experts or the EX5 file into MQL5/Experts.
  4. Refresh the Expert Advisors list. Restart MetaTrader, or in the Navigator window, right-click Expert Advisors and select Refresh.
  5. Allow WebRequest. Go to Tools → Options → Expert Advisors, enable “Allow WebRequest for listed URL,” and add https://watch-fx.com to the list.
  6. Attach Watch FX to a chart. AutoTrading does not need to be enabled: the EA reports monitoring data and does not open, modify, or close trades.
  7. Set the account owner. Enter the account owner's Telegram username in the EA inputs. It must match the Telegram account you used to start the bot. The @ symbol is optional. The account usually appears in the Telegram bot and dashboard within a few minutes.

If the account does not appear

  • Make sure the EA is attached to an open chart; the AutoTrading button does not affect Watch FX reporting.
  • Open the Experts tab in the Terminal window and check for WebRequest errors.
  • Make sure the Telegram username in the EA inputs matches the Telegram account you used to start the bot.
  • Make sure the terminal is connected to the broker's trading server.
