Frequently asked questions, without the fine print

Product, security, and setup details. If we have not answered something, it belongs here—not buried in a support conversation.

What does Watch FX monitor?

Watch FX receives balance, equity, margin metrics, floating drawdown, open-position counts, and connection status. It uses these data to build account history and trigger your configured alerts.

Can Watch FX open or close a trade?

No. The Expert Advisor monitors and reports account status; it does not manage trades.

Do I need a MetaTrader account password?

No. Watch FX asks for neither your master (trading) password nor your investor (read-only) password. The EA inputs require only the account owner's Telegram username. Never enter either password in the bot or website.

What happens if the terminal is turned off?

Data reporting stops. If the missing-data alert is enabled, Watch FX notifies you after the interval you configured.

Which performance periods are available?

The dashboard shows daily, weekly, and monthly performance in both chart and table views.

Can each account have different rules?

Yes. Floating drawdown thresholds, missing-data intervals, balance-change thresholds, positions without Take Profit, order count limits, and the daily report can all be configured per account.

How do I sign in to the dashboard?

The primary method is a one-time sign-in link from the Telegram bot. Alternatively, use a verification code sent to an email address already linked to your profile.

Does Watch FX support MT5?

Yes. Version 1.08 is available for both MT4 and MT5 on the download page. The MT5 build compiled successfully in strict mode; test it on a demo account before using it on a live account.
