Daily Forex account results: broker time, today, and weekends

A report delivered on Saturday morning can describe Friday. Delivery time, the date of the trading data, and the selected reporting period are different things.

Compare three different timestamps

A result has a reporting date, the received data has an arrival time in Watch FX, and a message has a delivery time. A fresh terminal connection does not make an older daily result today's result.

The broker's date can differ from your computer's date. As an illustrative example, 23:30 UTC is already 02:30 the following day on a UTC+3 server. Compare the same period boundaries and make the time zone explicit.

Why MetaTrader time may still refer to Friday

MetaTrader records the time of the latest quote. If no new quotes arrive over the weekend, that time can remain on Friday.

Start with the actual result date in the terminal and dashboard. Comparing Friday's history with Saturday's calendar period can make correct figures seem inconsistent. Changing the computer clock or reinstalling the advisor is not a substitute for checking those dates.

Read Saturday and Sunday correctly

On Saturday, Friday is yesterday. On Sunday, yesterday was Saturday: relabeling Friday's amount as yesterday would be incorrect. Select Friday explicitly in analytics when reviewing Friday's results.

Do not decide from the weekday alone. If the broker server and available instruments provide Saturday or Sunday data, use those records' actual dates. If a matching record is absent, do not move an earlier result into a new day.

Distinguish a dash, zero, and a balance change

A dash means that suitable data is unavailable for the selected metric. Zero may be a reported or rounded value. These states are not interchangeable: a missing record does not establish a zero result.

The difference in Balance between two updates is not automatically trading profit; deposits and withdrawals also affect balance. Compare daily results over the same period and the same set of operations. Check USD and EUR accounts separately unless a conversion rate is explicitly selected.

  • Match the account, currency, and calendar date.
  • Check the latest update time and connection status.
  • Compare the same period in MetaTrader history.
  • Save the dates, time zones, and values if support is needed.
